Pour and stamp inside the window

Stamping is a timing job, and the dry Permian heat shrinks the window, so we size the crew to the pour and press the texture in evenly from the first mat to the last, corners included.

Detail and accent the work

Edges and grout lines get hand attention, then accent color where the pattern calls for it. This step is where stamped work reads as stone instead of a stamp.

Seal and hand over the schedule

We seal once the slab is ready and leave you a plain resealing schedule, because in this sun and cold the sealer is what keeps year five looking like year one.

What does stamped concrete cost?

Stamped work in West Texas typically opens around $14 to $22 per square foot, above plain concrete for the added color, labor, and sealing. Pattern, colors, and access move it, so we quote after a site visit instead of guessing on the phone.

Will the color fade in the sun?

Unsealed, over time, yes; the Permian UV is relentless. Integral color holds far longer than a surface-only tint, which is why we run it through the slab, and a reseal every two to three years keeps the depth. We will not call it maintenance-free, because it is not.

Does the freeze hurt stamped concrete?

It can, if the slab was not air-entrained and sealed. We build the base and mix for freeze-thaw and keep the sealer current, since a sealed, air-entrained slab handles Midland winters while a neglected one scales at the surface.

Can you stamp a driveway?

Yes, with honest caveats: it needs the same thickness, steel, and air-entrained mix as any drive, hot tires are hard on sealer, and a stamped border often delivers the look at lower cost and upkeep than stamping the whole field. We lay out both options.

Can you stamp over my existing patio?

Overlays exist, but on Midland's moving clay we rarely recommend them; an overlay inherits every base problem under it. If the slab is failing, replacing it and stamping the new pour costs more once and looks right for years.

How do we maintain it?

Rinse it now and then, go easy on de-icer in the freeze weeks, and reseal on the schedule we leave you. That is the whole list, and a reseal generally brings the finish back when it dulls.
